To lead and expand the design team, enhance user-centric design practices, and drive innovative design strategies for the Nerdwallet Small Business Owner Platform.
Key Activities:
Implemented a Coach-Player structure to support the expanding team's needs.
Developed strong partnerships with cross-functional teams, setting a high bar for design craft and strategy.
Worked hands-on with the Nerdwallet Small Business Team to deliver design improvements and new features.
Established a Quarterly Design Demo to celebrate cross-functional design work.
Introduced User Research methodologies and coached the team to integrate regular tests into the product development cycle.
Led design initiatives for the B2C Small Business Owner Platform, including Free & Premium Experience.
Focused on SEO and top-funnel optimizations to improve platform visibility.
Outcomes:
Successfully expanded the design team and created a collaborative environment that strengthened cross-functional partnerships.
Enhanced user-centric design practices, balancing long-term vision with quarterly OKRs.
